Phew! It's been a whirlwind of activity for the past couple of weeks. The kids arrived on July 5, and overall have adjusted well to their new environment. We brought 7 kids to Utah, ages 5-11, being hosted in 6 homes. For more information on the program you can go to our blog: http://www.kidsaveutah.blogspot.com.

Here are some pictures from this year's group:

Taiwan sent a cameraman to shoot a documentary of the kids and the program. This is Myles preparing for the shot at Silver Lake Flat, American Fork Canyon.

Here is a couple more picutures from our picnic in the canyon and our benefit concert featuring the band "Mama's Boys". Special thanks to Showtime Utah!, Mama's Boys, and everyone who donated their time and money to make the benefit a success.

How absolutely fun! Have to admit, a bit jealous here! Vegas is too hot so outdoor activities are limited! You guys are also wearing jackets (I saw snow)... I wish! Looks like you're having a blast ... this is such a wonderful program. Thanks for sharing pics and letting us see a glimsp of what the kiddos are up to. I hope that things continue going well especially for the kids. How neat... a documentary! WooHoo... right on! :clapping:

Here are a few more pictures from this year's program. We took the kids to a PRCA rodeo in Spanish Fork, Utah. Then, we received a call from the Taiwan Consular General from the San Francisco TECO office. Apparently, his Sr. Officer saw an article in the World Journal Chinese newspaper (.pdf attached) which sparked the interest of his office. He was going to be in town during Utah's Pioneer Day holiday (Utah's birthday), and wanted the opportunity to meet the kids and their host families. Later that evening, we shared some fireworks with one of our local adoptive families.

I agree with Jeri - this program looks and sounds like such a huge undertaking, but what a difference it will be in these kids' lives.
